Mini debuts at the Rally of Italy
After the road-map drawn up some months ago began today at the Mini World Rally Championship with the first day of the Rally of Italy, who walked through the territory of Sardinia. So far, and except for research can’t be invoked in the day yesterday, there was no valid reference in the performance of the MINI Countryman, while others are points of identical reliability important or better provide a vehicle for a test of full stay.
His two team drivers, Kris Meeke and Daniel Sordo, Italy began the event with a very different philosophy. In the first two stages, Meeke made a good move which allows it to be in fourth place until the accelerator problem ended his participation in the day today. Meanwhile, Dani started at low speed when they clean the doubt, reaching sixth place.
If we are talking about differences with Citroen and Ford Fiesta DS3, Mini still not rivals, but the time lost per km is lower than many expected this first. In the case of two parties that Meeke was discussed, the difference was half a second per kilometer, while Dani Sordo started the day with a time of one second slower per mile, to end at 0, 75 seconds worst.
There is still much testing to do to show your progress and the possible emergence of a new mechanical failure, but the results were encouraging. The first day was led by Loeb; information will be expanded into a comprehensive summary of the usual Monday.
